I was born and raised in Lehi, graduated from BYU in Civil Engineering and worked my entire professional career in the private sector managing sizeable operations.  I am licensed as a professional engineer with the State of Utah.

Responsibilities in my career included managing the budgets, schedules, accounting, human resources, IT and the daily operations. A majority of the work involved Federal, State, County and City governments. I gained valuable experience dealing with these entities. I have been responsible for many road and site improvement projects in the area. Some of these projects include I-15, SR-89, Smiths and the Trax Light Rail line from downtown SLC to the U. of U. Medical Center. I served as the Vice President of Construction at Geneva Rock Products, President of H.E. Davis Construction and President of Sunroc Corporation which operates in four intermountain states. I retired last year from the company.

 Community Service

Over the years I have been involved in local and community activities. I served on the Board of Adjustments, was the chairman of the Recreation Committee, co-chairman of the Parade and Special Events committee and have been both a County and State Delegate on several occasions representing my precinct.
