I come from a large family of 7 children. My wife is from a family of 9 children. We have 7 children of our own. Family is an important part of our life. We are enjoying a new generation with 11 grandchildren.
We enjoy raising our family in this community with the values that make up this community (I was born in the Lehi Hospital which was on State Street and 200 East). We spend time with our family enjoying this incredible State.
We have shared our home with several foreign exchange students helping them to appreciate the community we live in. We have developed many friendships around the world because of the opportunity to share with others.
I graduated from BYU in Civil Engineering and spent most of my career building roads and infrastructure for transportation, water, waste water, utilities, and site work for structures. I had experiences with the Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT), The Utah Transit Authority (UTA), The Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ), the Division of Facilities Construction and Management (DFCM), and several other State agencies, that helped me understand their operations and better prepared me for Legislative service.
I have served in community committees and boards, Church assignments, Scouting, and professional associations.
